Does anyone have any experiences they would be willing to share on
the 'competition' element of Best Value? If you have been through it/are
going through it which 'competitors' did you identify & how did you test
your own competitiveness? Have any non-public libraries been involved in a
Best Value exercise, are there any who would consider competing for public
services?
Durham's Best Value review covers 'cultural services' which (briefly!)
includes arts, libraries, museums, archaeology, local history, archives,
community education and environmental information & interpretation. Any
experience in one or more of these areas, (or a contact name to badger!),
would be greatly appreciated.
Please reply off list & I will summarise.
Many thanks,
Kay Winter
