I would be interested to hear of colleagues' experiences (good and bad)
of developing and managing library building and major refurbishment
projects.
Of particular interest would be any advice which the experienced can
offer to the uninitiated - from a librarians point of view - on the
development of design briefs and architect selection process.
Web resources such as ARL's "Transforming Libraries Issue 9: Library
Buildings: Renovation and Reconfiguration"
(www.arl.org/transform/buildings/index.html), are useful, but any
references for UK-based projects would be greatly appreciated.
