Sources of business information
A one day Library Association workshop on 7 March, in London
This workshop will highlight the major sources of business information, in
the context of the business processes they support and develop participants'
understanding of how and for what purposes business uses information. In
addition participants will explore how the various sources of information
are created. Many workshops miss out on this important dimension. Sometimes
information is not all it seems!
By the end of the event participants will have:
* a working knowledge of the content of key information sources,
together with an understanding of how they were created
* looked at the wide ranging uses of information to business and best
practice in providing an information service
* explored the delivery of a business information service
* focussed on the key role information work plays in developing
business
Who will benefit from attending?
Those who have significant involvement in the day to day running of business
information services (public, commercial or academic), whether as part of a
front line team or as part of the management of such information services.
