search the gopher archive for "special weeks" "special month"
"special day" or similar terms e.g from 24-xi-1993:
"_Chases's annual events_ (1993 marks its 36th year of
publication) lists these sorts of things. For instance, today
(24 November) is, among other things, the 22nd anniversary of
the D.B. Coooper hijacking and the 130th anniversary of the
(American Civil War) Battle of Chattanooga. Today also marks
the beginning of the Great Alaska Shootout (basketball). This
is also Latin America Week, National Adoption Week, and
National Bible Week. November is Aviation History Month,
International Creative Child and Adult Month, and
International Drum Month. Keep in mind that this publication
is American and will, therefore, reflect that country's
celebrations. The citation is:
_Chase's annual events: the day-by-day directory to 1993_.
Chicago: Contemporary Books, 1992."
