1. New Staff at CHEST

Jane Kitney has joined the CHEST Software and Data Teams in a Customer
Support role. Jane will be the first point of contact for all telephone
calls. She is, at present, unfamiliar with licensing issues for Software
and Data. Training will be given over the coming weeks and co-operation
from all our contacts would be appreciated.
Jody Statham is now a Junior Contracts Officer with responsibility for a
few agreements including RAPRA and KnowUK. She is still the first point

2. BIOSIS Previews - Reminder
-----------------------------
This is a reminder to those Institutions licensed for Biosis Previews
under the CHEST Agreement which came to an end on 31st December 2000.
If your Institution wishes to have continued access to the service you
need
to return new licence forms (available from
http://www.chest.ac.uk/datasets/biosis/) to CHEST by 19th January.
Apoogies to those who have already returned new licences. If your
Institution does not wish to subscribe to the new Agreement it would be
helpful to CHEST if you could give us the reasons. Please email

3. Biomed - pricing for 2001

The new pricing/order form for Biomed is now available at
http://www.chest.ac.uk/datasets/biomed/ Please use this form if you
wish to order addional users/resources under this Agreement.
4. ARCchart free trial
----------------------
In CHEST Data Messenger 17th November 2000 CHEST requested expressions
of interest for a database from the company ARCchart. It appears to be
most relevant to Business Schools and we asked for comments and
feedback.
In conjunction with this request the Supplier has agreed to offer a
60 day free trial to interested Sites. Please note that the contact for
