Hi Liz,

A belated Happy New Year!

I'm Having fun back at work (not) - last week was very slow here.

How is your chartership going? I'm starting to contemplate writing up and
I'm going on the course below with a few colleagues from work, I wondered if
you are going?

See you soon - perhaps we can do lunch sometime or meet after work?

Steve

Dear Colleague

Thank you for your interest in attending the 'Preparing for chartership'
course
to be held at the Library Association HQ, 7 Ridgmount Street, London WC1E
7AE.
Time: 6.00 - 8.00pm.
Date: Tuesday 20th February 2001.
If you need a map, please let me know.

The course will cover the following aspects of the chartership process:
routes
and regulations for submission; criteria for assessment; role of the
registration board; and practical hints on organising your material. Marion
Huckle and Susan Kay from the LA will be speaking. There will be an
opportunity
for you to raise questions, and copies of successful reports will be on
display.

Tea and coffee will available. We can assist with childcare expenses.

Please confirm your place on the course by completing the slip below and
returning it to me by e-mail, or by post at the above address, for my
attention.
There is no charge for the course, and
for this reason I try to keep admin. costs as low as possible. I shall
therefore
not send an acknowledgement of your slip.

If, however, you have any queries about the evening, please contact me.
If you have any queries about the chartership process, please contact your
Registration Liaison Officer, Paul Hobby, whose e-mail is [log in to unmask]

If, for some reason, you cannot come, please let me know as I usually have a

waiting list for these courses. We look forward to seeing you on 20th
February.

Yours sincerely

Gerry Power
