UK Information Management is a department of the UK Infrastructure Support
and Information Management group. UK Information Management's major
functions are to:
 Procure information for use by the business
 Create value-added research and information products
 Educate users
 Use technology to deploy and communicate information.
 Protect and preserve internal information
We are delighted to offer one year Industrial Placement opportunities
within Libraries and Text Databases.
The positions are ideally suited to graduates seeking to gain relevant work
experience before embarking on a post-graduate qualification in Information
Management. You will assist with help-desk and other administration
activities, including indexing and data input, and will gain experience of
managing business and research records in a commercial environment.
Degree disciplines: Graduates of any discipline are encouraged to apply for
Library posts. Candidates for Internal Database posts must be science
graduates.
Locations: Greenford (Middlesex), Stevenage and Ware (Hertfordshire).
Start date: 30 July 2001.
Salary: c£14,000
