Advanced use of business information sources
A one day Library Association workshop on 5 April, in London
This workshop will provide sources and strategies for answering difficult
business information enquiries, the solution of which requires the
information professional to go beyond the use of, say, a simple trade
directory or specific online market research source.
By the end of the event participants will have:
* a range of sources and strategies to help approach difficult
business information requirements
* considered specific challenging business information enquiries and
discussed their solution.
Who will benefit from attending?
This is an advanced course on business information suitable for those who
have been working specifically in business information provision for more
than six months or who have previously attended the 'Sources of Business
Information' workshop. Delegates may come from a wide range of library and
information backgrounds including public libraries, company libraries,
academic libraries or information brokerages. They will be united by a
commitment to answering business information enquiries in the most effective
and efficient way possible.
Those who have little knowledge of business information sources should
attend the basic 'Sources of Business Information' event as this advanced
workshop will assume a working knowledge of basic trade directories and
market research sources.
