Dear All,
A few weeks ago there were messages about some publishers (especially Wiley)
restricting access to websites which accompany textbooks to those
individuals who had purchased the textbook (effectively meaning libraries,
and our users could not access this information).
I received 4 copies of Tortora's Principles of Human Anatomy with which
there is an accompanying website. I contacted Wiley (and... eventually - 3
weeks later) received a reply:

Dear Ellie,
Tortora A + P 9th used to come with a paper atlas which has now been moved
on-line.
You will not break licensing laws by giving your students the password
however, you will not be able to have more than one user access the atlas
under each password at anyone time. This product has not been designed to
be licensed.
If you have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind regards,
Scott

This would imply that our students can access the accompanying materials.
It seems that it is worth challenging the licensing of resources of this
type... and keeping copies of any correspondence!
