Learning Technology Support Officer (Post no.499)
UAP3 £27,002 - £31,896
3 year fixed term post
You will take a proactive role in promoting and developing the opportunities
that learning technologies offer for implementing the University’s Learning,
Teaching and Assessment Strategy and virtual and managed learning
environments. You will work closely with colleagues, senior members of the
University and the wider academic community and be a key member of
teams involved with formulating learning policies. You will facilitate the
introduction of the University’s information literacy policy and co-operate
closely with the Technical Editing and Communication Team and other
Information Services information providers to devise appropriate support
materials. You should be a graduate with experience of the application of
information technology to teaching and learning in e-learning environments.
You will have the confidence and enthusiasm to innovate, excellent
organisation, communication and ICT skills and a flexible and adaptable
approach. A relevant postgraduate qualification, knowledge of current
pedagogy and experience of project management would be advantageous.

Manager, Colum Drive Resource Centre
UAP 1/2 £17,278 - £25,969 (Post no.501)
3 year fixed term post
We have a newly built Resource Centre, equipped with over 260 PC’s,
training rooms and support facilities. You will use your management and ICT
skills to establish, develop, evaluate and promote the service as a centre of
excellence to support the information literacy and e-learning strategies of
the University.
You should be a graduate with experience of participating in learning
activities in teaching and higher education and have the ability to train and
enthuse others. You should have the confidence to adopt innovative
approaches to ensure that demands on the service are met effectively and
be energetic and adaptable with good time management skills.
