Academic Related Grade 3 - Salary Scale £27,273 - £32,215
The University libraries contain the largest and most diverse collections
for the support of teaching and research in any institute of Higher
Education in the UK. The development of a subject-based approach has led to
an exciting new opportunity for a skilled professional with energy and
vision to maximise the full potential of our outstanding resources. In
addition to running the Theology Faculty Library you will have a range of
responsibilities within the Bodleian Library, liaising with other libraries
as required. Materials acquisition, budget management, staff supervision
and strategic planning are among the diverse components of the role.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree or equivalent, preferably in Theology/Religious Studies or a
related discipline
- A qualification in librarianship or information science
- Knowledge of the subject area
- Working knowledge of at least one European language other than English
- Experience of academic library work
- Experience of staff supervision
- An interest in the development of electronic resource media.
