FUNDRAISING FOR LIBRARIANS
11 December, London
This workshop is for librarians working in the academic and voluntary
sectors who need to gain a basic understanding of fundraising.
It is designed to help you to identify relevant sources of funds, and to
make successful applications to trusts and other funding bodies.
BY THE END OF THE EVENT PARTICIPANTS WILL HAVE:
* looked at the infrastructure needed to support fundraising within the
voluntary and academic organisations
* reviewed the most accessible research tools to use in order to identify
potential sources of funds
* considered how to organise the information gleaned from fundraising
research in order to manage the application process
* explored the key concepts around making a case for support
* discovered how to make a sound funding application and be aware of some of
the most common pitfalls in fundraising
WORKSHOP LEADER: Kathy Roddy
Kathy is a qualified librarian and information manager with over seven
