Dear colleagues,
I originally sent this message when many of you were on a holiday weekend,
and received only two responses. Surely many more of you have had to select
carrells and floor coverings over the past few years...please share your
experiences with me. I'd really appreciate it:

"Dear colleagues,
I'm seeking information about library flooring and carrells.
Ours is a medium-sized, open-space, academic library. We have problems with
noise, but though carpet seems like an ideal solution I am afraid it would
be
unhygenic and difficult to keep clean. However, it would seem that vinyl and
rubber
flooring also have drawbacks.
Can you give me your thoughts on this please?
I'd also like to hear from those of you who have installed study carrells.
Which do students prefer and which do *you* consider best value for money
and why.
Thank you for any help you can offer. Best regards from Bologna, Italy.
