ASSIGN Internet Trainers Workshop

Are you involved in training students or researchers to use the Internet?
Would you like to improve your skills and learn about some free resources
that can help you?
This three hour workshop will provide :
* an overview of the types of skills that can be included in
Internet
training sessions
* Advice and hands on experience in using the RDN Virtual
Training Suite. This is a national initiative, funded by JISC, to teach
Internet skills to the UK academic community. It contains over 40 free
subject based tutorials with associated teaching materials
* Information on other useful online training courses,
including The Internet Detective
* The opportunity to share experiences with other information
workers and find out more about the LSE Library's Training Programme
All participants will receive handouts with background information and
hints and tips for future use There will be opportunities to ask questions
and engage in hands on activities.
Cost: £20.00 ASSIGN members, £25.00 non-members
This includes all handouts and mid-afternoon refreshments.
Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
