Lunch 12.00, Workshop 1pm - 4pm
OCLC's Cooperative Online Resource Catalog (CORC) is a Web-based system for
the bibliographic control of Web-based electronic resources. CORC
integrates current and emerging metadata standards (MARC, Dublin Core, RDF,
XML) within a single interface. This workshop will show the practical
implementation of different types of metadata within CORC and address their
wider implications. Participants will gain knowledge both of different
metadata schemas and how they can be applied in the library environment.
