This is an exciting new post requiring a highly skilled professional to support the establishment of a subject-based approach in the recently integrated Oxford University library sector. Duties will involve oversight of the History Faculty Library plus a range of responsibilities within the Bodleian Library and liaison with other relevant libraries. The post involves a diverse range of tasks from materials acquisition and budget management to staff supervision and general administration, as well as input to strategic planning.
The ideal candidate will possess:
· A degree in History or equivalent
· A qualification in librarianship or information science
· Knowledge of the subject area
· Working knowledge of at least one European language other than English
