MASTERCLASS ON FILM AND HISTORY

Graduate students are invited to take part in a one day seminar organised by
the International Association for Media and History (IMAHIST) and the
British Universities Film and Video Council (BUFVC) on writing and
researching in Film and History.
The workshop will take place on Friday, 23 November at the BUFVC's offices
at 77 Wells Street, London W1T 3QJ and students working in the field will be
asked to give a 10 minute presentation of their work in progress, and will
be able to share their experiences with established scholars, looking at
different approaches and issues in professional development, such as book
reviewing, publication and job hunting. Participants will include
Professor Nicholas Cull of the University of Leicester, Professor Jeffrey
Richards of the University of Lancaster, Dr. Roberta Pearson of the
University of Cardiff, Dr. Richard Howells of the University of Leeds, Dr.
Julia Hallam of the University of Liverpool and Luke McKernan, Head of
Information, BUFVC.
