Learning Resources Centre Assistant
Salary range: £16,316 - £19,980pa
(with further progression to £23,656 based on performance)
The Royal College of Physicians exist to promote the highest
standards of medical practice and education in order to improve
health and healthcare. As part of this mission, a Resource Centre will be
opened in the new Jerwood Medical Education Building in March 2002. Both the
new building and the Resource Centre will provide a focal point for many of
the College's educational activities.
We are looking for someone to act as an initial point of contact
for all visitors to the new building and also to help with the day-to-day
running of the Resource Centre. Duties will include:
assisting with the enquiry service, helping users as to the use of
the resources (video, computer and print-based), and dealing withthe
day-to-day administration. With at least 1 years' experience of working in a
role involving customer contact, preferably within a
health/education/library environment, you are a capable organiser and
communicator with good IT skills, which includes knowledge of Microsoft
Office applications.
