Here at University of Central England in Birmingham we are looking at how we
can improve borrower notification, particularly in regard to sending out
overdues. At present all our borrower notifications are by post which we
feel is probably not the most cost effective way. We would be very
interested to hear from other institutions as to how they deal with this
time-consuming and pricey procedure.
As we are looking at all aspects, we would very much like to hear from
anyone who doesn't send out overdues at all and know what impact this has on
borrowers and library staff.
