MANAGING COPYRIGHT: FURTHER AND HIGHER EDUCATION LIBRARIES
A half-day Library Association workshop on 31 October, in London
This workshop is designed to increase participants' understanding of
copyright, and to help them to ensure that while providing high quality
services they remain on the right side of the law.
BENEFITS FROM ATTENDING
During the workshop participants will receive an update on current
developments affecting the further and higher education sector, as well as
the latest news on the Copyright Directive. In addition the workshop will
refresh and consolidate participants' existing knowledge of copyright, and
give them an opportunity to share and resolve copyright queries and
problems.
Prior to the day delegates will be encouraged to send in details of any
specific problems that they would like to resolve at the workshop.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Those who are involved with, or who have responsibility for copyright within
their library or workplace; those who are responsible for educating and
training their staff on copyright; those who wish to refresh or update their
knowledge and share best practices with colleagues. Copyright officers,
library managers, licensing co-ordinators will find this workshop useful.

members on simple and complex issues, as well as representing the profession
