CHEST is pleased to announce a revision of the price for Further
Education Colleges interested in participating in the CHEST/ESDU
Agreement.
Previously all institutions were charged the same price of
£4,950 (+ VAT) per annum. However, following discussions between CHEST
and ESDU, this has been reduced to £1,495 (+ VAT) per annum for FE
Colleges.
The relevant web pages on the CHEST website which provide more
information and details on how to participate in the agreement,
<http://www.chest.ac.uk/datasets/esdu/>, will be updated by end of
Tuesday 18th September 2001.

As part of the ISI Web of Knowledge platform from the Thompson
Corporation, ISIHighlyCited is a database of people most highly cited
from 1981 to 1999 for each of the following categories: chemistry,
physics, engineering, and neurosciences. The database can be searched
by name, institution, category, or country.
The information returned includes a full listing of publications
(journal articles, book or book chapters, conference proceedings,
Websites, and other Internet resources), education, faculty and
professional posts, memberships and/or offices, current research
interests, and personal Websites. The next categories planned for
release are Molecular Biology & Genetics, Biology & Biochemistry,
Immunology, and Microbiology. Besides its database, which will
continue expanding, ISIHighlyCited also has a section of news features
from various disciplines.

c) Free Medical Journals

Free Medical Journals.com provides a list of online medical publications
organised into the following categories: free full text, free one to six
months after publication, free one year after publication, free two
years after publication, new, and cancelled.
There are over 800 titles sorted alphabetically or by specialty. There
are also Spanish and Portuguese listings. Users can sign up for the
journal alert feature and can also submit information on new freemedical
journals.
