The College Archives & Records Management Service is responsible for
managing the non-current records produced by the College, as well as
several important research collections. These include the library of the
Bristol & Gloucestershire Archaeological Society and two literature based
special collections, in addition to the historic records of the College and
its antecedents spanning over 150 years. Services include: reference,
enquiry and information networking; information skills training; collection
development, archives management access to information; audio-visual
services; resource management; acquisition and circulation of materials.
We are seeking a keen and enthusiastic person for this new post to assist
the Team Leader to develop and manage the College's Archive and Records
collections.
Essential requirements are appropriate ICT qualifications and/or
experience, excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, and ideally
experience of working in a library or archive. You need to be self-
motivated and happy to work with the minimum of supervision, whilst being a
team player and having good customer care skills.
