PROJECT OFFICER (British Library Co-operation & Partnership Programme)
c £19,000 per annum
Bournemouth University Library has been awarded a grant under the British
Library Co-operation and Partnership Programme to undertake a wide-ranging
project to demonstrate how health information needs of the lay public may be
met in a variety of media. Partners in the project include Bournemouth
Libraries, British Library, British Nursing Index, Essex Libraries, Health
Communication Network, Healthpoint, NHS Executive South West and Wiltshire
Education and Libraries.
With excellent project skills, research experience, report writing skills
and knowledge of research methods, you will drive delivery of the
demonstrator study "Working with public libraries to enhance access to
quality-assured health information to the lay public". Your effective
interpersonal skills are essential, whilst knowledge of bibliographic
databases, health information or a wide range of information needs is
desirable. Some travel will be required.This is a fixed term appointment
until 31 December 2002.
