I expect everyone is fed up of queries regarding mobile phone use in Libraries, but as a fairly new lis-link member, I have probably missed all past discussions. I am aware that in other European countries there is the technology to scramble/jam the phones in 'appropriate' venues such as Libraries, Concert Halls etc.
I believe that our Government refuses to allow this on the grounds of possible emergency use(!)
Does anybody have any more information on this topic, or useful strategies for dealing with the constant disruption?
If you would like to reply to me I will collate replies
Thanks,
