The International Group of the Library Association
(http://www.la-hq.org.uk/groups/igla/introduction.html) will be hosting a
talk by Paul Anderson, Library Liaison Officer at the Scottish Parliament
Information Centre (SPICe) in Edinburgh and recipient of the 2000 ESU/LA
Travelling Librarian Award. Mr Anderson will discuss his study tour which
focussed on a comparative analysis of the systems in place in the USA and
Scotland for disseminating government information from the seat of
government to local communities nation-wide.
All are welcome to attend.
Venue: Ewart Room, Library Association Headquarters, 7 Ridgmount Street,
London WC1E 7AE
Wednesday 20th June 2001 6pm - 7.30. After the talk, participants will move
on to a local pub to continue talking and chatting.
