ARLIS/UK & Ireland
Photography Resources Workshop
Camberwell College of Arts
London
30th November
How do we access information on photography? How can I find images on the
internet? What would it be like working in a picture library? What do
researchers do with the information? At the end of this workshop, delegates
will be able to answer all these questions an more. There will be practical
sessions dealing with both hard copy and electronic resources. Speakers
include Bobbi Mitchell, who works as a picture arhivist of the BBC, and Cian
Quayle and artist and researcher of Camberwell College of Arts. There will
be an opportunity to share experience and discuss the challenges facing
those dealing with photography as a resource.
The workshop is aimed at library staff new to the subject or to those
interested in expanding their knowledge in this area.
Lunch and refreshments will be included and there will be a short tour of
the recently refurbished Library & Learning Resources at Camberwell College
of Arts.
There are still a few places left on the workshop.
The cost for ARLIS members is £70, non members £85, students/unwaged £35.
