The Resource Guide for the Arts and Humanities presents...
Exploring and promoting online resources in the visual arts
Date: Wednesday 25th July
Time: 10.00 - 13.00
Venue: King's College London (Waterloo campus)
Cost: FREE
Feeling confused about what's available online within the
visual arts? This workshop aims to help!
The workshop will open with an overview of a range of
online resources in the visual arts, as highlighted
in the Resource Guide for the Arts and Humanities
(http://www.jisc.ac.uk/subject/arts-hum). This will be
followed by presentations from the following resource
providers:
- Axis, the national contemporary visual arts service
- SCRAN, the Scottish Cultural Resources Access Network
- VADS, the Visual Arts Data Service
There will also be the opportunity for 'hands-on'
exploration of the resources themselves.
Who should attend the workshop?
===============================
This workshop is primarily aimed at librarians and other
academic support staff within higher education who would
like to know more about the range of online resources
available within the visual arts. It may be of particular
interest to those who are responsible for promoting these
kinds of resources within their own institutions.
Participants should have basic browser, mouse and keyboard
skills.
