Dear all,
I have just received a query regarding the availability of ILLs on
audio-tape (or other aternative formats) for those labelled dyslexic. This
is the first time I have been asked this!
We have been getting audio-tapes from the RNIB for our one blind student,
and she also has a reader for those texts available in our collection. We
would also subscribe to CALIBRE is the need arises.
I have scanned the new Resource publication on library services for
visually impaired people and come across the ILL of alternative formats,
does anyone have any expereince of this, especially for those who are print
disabled/dyslexic.
Any thoughts/guidance/advice gratefuly received,
Alison
