(Please excuse any cross-postings/duplications; this message is being posted
to ILL-L and LIS-ILL.)
Dear Colleagues,
We are looking for contributions and suggestions for a new web site designed
to aid interlibrary loan and document delivery staff in all types of
libraries. The web site contains no advertisements and is located at
<http://www.shorter.edu/library/ddill>.
The site contains information and links on various resource-sharing topics,
including: Awards; FAQs; Reciprocal Agreements; Resources; Verification
Tools and Free Full-Text Sources. Those attending the ALA Annual Conference
may wish to consult the Conferences and Meetings section of our web site
<http://www.shorter.edu/library/DDILL/conf_mtgs.html> for a list of meetings
related to resource sharing.
Please note that, initially, there is an unintentional bias in content
toward OCLC and U.S. academic libraries. This is due to the fact that our
interlibrary loan experience is limited to using OCLC's ILL subsystem within
an U.S. academic library setting. Thus, while we welcome suggestions and
contributions from everyone, we would especially like to have input from
users of DOCLINE, RLIN, and other bibliographic utilities in various types
of libraries. Contributors will receive credit for their work.
If you are interested in contributing to the web site or in serving as a
specialist editor (e.g. DOCLINE, Clio, etc.) please e-mail us at
[log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]> .
Sincerely,
Julie C. Harwell and Jonathan H. Harwell
