The Medical Information Working Party is organising a one day seminar on ELECTRONIC JOURNALS AND LICENSING :
CURRENT ISSUES IN HEALTH INFORMATION. The programme will end with a discussion session chaired by Veronica
Fraser, the NHS Libraries Adviser.
This will be held on Monday 19 November 2001 at BMA House in London.
This seminar provides an introduction to current developments in e-journal provision in
medical libraries with overviews from representatives from different elements of the
information industry, as well as news and current development reports.
Its objectives are:
To update knowledge on purchasing and licensing
To develop a shared understanding of licensing issues
To identify any special needs in the NHS and wider
healthcare sector
To identify ways in which MIWP and others can create
solutions
This seminar will be useful for a wide range of professionals involved in
the medical information chain, including librarians and information
workers, and publishers and other information providers.
The seminar costs u65 to include lunch and a copy of the MIWP Core Collection of Medical Books and Journals 4th ed. (2001). To register please complete and return the form below
