Dear Colleagues
I have been asked to help compile a list of preferred class-based teaching
and learning techniques which can be applied to groups of full time, senior
undergraduate business-studies students. In our case we normally operate
with class sizes numbering approximately 30 students, class lengths around
3 hours and module lengths about 18 hours.
I appreciate the techniques may vary with the objectives and the resources
available and that they may be harder to transplant in different
educational cultures but I would be interested to learn whether you have
any favoured methods of conducting your classes - ways which you find
perhaps improve interaction, student motivation and the learning
experience. If so, what are they and why did you adopt them?
