The City of Westminster is looking to fill a permanent post within the
corporate GIS team.
Salary: £24312 - £26718
Location: City Hall, Victoria Street
The role is to support the provision of existing Geographical Information
Systems within the Council and to assist in the implementation of the
current development program. This will include the preparation of
functional and technical requirement specifications, the provision of
technical support to GIS users, the operation of a corporate mapping
service and assisting in the implementation and operation of any future GIS
developments.
Essential skills/experience:
Degree level educated in GIS and/or professional qualifications or
equivalent by experience.
A minimum of 1 years Local Government experience, in a GIS or related
environment.
Experience and knowledge of GIS products, including ESRI's Arcview.
A knowledge of highways networks and street gazetteers.
An understanding of property gazetteers and the governments NLIS/NLPG
initiative
