Hi,
geo-mineralisation has moved home (nothing to do with me). People may not
have noticed the change. For example if you post to
[log in to unmask] it will be forwarded to the new list --
[log in to unmask]
The old one will work for a time, but list members should now post mail to
[log in to unmask]
For those of you who used the various commands available under
[log in to unmask], the messages need to be sent to
[log in to unmask]
Documentation of how to use the list commands is located at
http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/docs/default.htm . Also the web archive of
messages has moved to
http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/lists/geo-mineralisation.html
If you do nothing else, I suggest that you at least surf to
http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk and bookmark suitable locations for reference.
This could get you out of a fix in the future
One of the draw backs of the new system is that it monitors "undeliverable
e-mail addresses" and deletes them after a certain number of messages have
been posted to the list. So if you think you've been deleted from the list
by an anonymous computer you can check your list membership by sending a
command to the list. To do this send an e-mail to:
[log in to unmask]
with the following message
query *
--
The two dashes are important, as they tell the listserver to stop processing
any further commands (e.g. your signature to e-mail messages). If this
fails then send an e-mail message to me at [log in to unmask], and i'll try and
sort your problem. You can now access (and edit) your membership details
via the web. This can be done at
http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/wa.exe?SUBED1=geo-mineralisation&A=1 .
Hopefully, the migration should cause few problems
Cheers
Jon
