Inresponse to your enquiry about international conferences in 2002 may a
respond by encouraging you to attend the International Mineralogical
Association meeting in Edinburgh, Scotland from 1-6 September. This
quadrenniel meeting will be held at the Ediburgh International Conference
Centre and hopesto attract around 800 delegates. There will be over 40
sessions covering topics from mineral physics to ore mineralogy. Details of
