A candidate is the Mount Moriah Syenite, a ~6x8km Proterozoic stock in
southern Ontario. It intrudes metabasalts in greenschist and possibly
amphibolite facies. I am informed that it has oPx+cPx+Plg hornfels at the
contact, but I don't know of any references. Outcrop would be more than
adequate for a metamorphic study. Local relief is ~100m.
Deciduous/evergreen forest, marshes, beaver ponds, mosquitoes etc. Access
by dirt road along the SE margin.
