Dear All,
A number of papers recently have discussed element partitioning (major and
minor) into the P and Q domains during cleavage development, using
non-mobile elements (Zr, Nb, Ph, Y and Th) as the theoretical bulk rock
baseline. All I have read have been experiments on one cleavage phase. Has
anyone done any work of this nature (published or not) on chemical
partitioning of two cleavage phases in a single rock? I would very much
like to hear from you.
As an aside, does anyone know the upper temperature limit on cleavage
development?
Regards,
Joanie Marion
