The term was introduced by Eve Kosofsky Sedgwick, Between Men: English
Literature and Male Homosocial Desire (New York: Columbia University Press,
1985). She used it to discuss male bonding but it describes any system of
exclusive and narrowly defined social relationships, such as natives of the
same small town, etc.

But leaves the greater villain loose
Who steals the common from the goose.

Subject: homosocial
Dear list members,
I was wondering if anyone could give me any references, and/or input
on the concept homosocial?
Thanks in advance,
