National Film Board of Canada, usually abbreviated as NFB. If you browse through
any database tht will show you all the NFB titles, you'll find TONS of stuff. (I
work at a library that tries to have one copy of everything NFB and there is
lots of women and religion stuff) There is a huge series on Women in Islam...
There are some holes in some of the statements in the Goddess Remembered stuff,
especially The Burning Times, that you could drive a truck through, but they are
still worthwhile.
There is also Half The Kingdom (NFB) -- Jewish feminism.
Some Women of Marrakesh -- old but neat -- Islamic women in, well, Marrakesh.
But these are ALL documentaries. Are you specifically looking for
'entertainment' films, is this a cultural studies thing?
*thinking*
