Dear all,
I promised to circulate details of the responses I received to the message I
posted regarding the use of theatre and live interpretation and galleries
two weeks ago. Unfortunately I did not receive any response from engage on
the subject (as yet anyway) which would I am sure have produced a larger
response.
To summarise:
Already using or have used drama/live interpretation and art collections to
a greater or lesser degree, mainly for one-off projects:
Dulwich Picture Gallery
Banbury Museum
The Holburne Museum and Art Gallery in Bath
The Horniman Museum
Cartright Hall Art Gallery in Bradford
Bridgwater Arts Centre/Royal Photographic Society
Tate Britain
Interested in using it but not currently doing so:
The Shipley Art Gallery
Tate Modern
Paxton House, Berwick on Tweed
There could be scope for a training day in this field, I think, next year.
I will discuss the idea with IMTAL-Europe and engage as well as GEM. All
those who kindly responded will be sent details of any developments anyway,
but if anyone who didn't would be interested, please let me know.
Many thanks.
