Dear Robert,
Your problem in getting miscmaths to compile seems to be within
your STL implementation. These errors appear to originate from
quite a low level of the STL, certainly in functions we are not
calling directly, and suggests that the STL version you have is
not compliant with your compiler.
Do you have any other STL programs/demos that you can try to
compile to see if it is OK? If so, I suggest trying that (or
writing/copying a small test one) and see if you have the same
problem or not.
As for the problems in create_paradigm, these seem again to be
problems with your compiler and it's library support. It seems
that the problem is with the functions drand48() and srand48()
which should be in stdlib.h. We really need to see if you have
a drand function somewhere.
Can you do the following:
cd /usr/lib (or equivalent on your machine)
ar t libc.a | grep rand (or equivalent)
and send us the results.
Cheers,
Mark
