The Conflict and Health Programme (Health Policy Unit) at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine is pleased to announce a forthcoming short course in
Evaluation of Health Programmes in Complex Emergencies
This innovative course will take place at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine from 17 - 21 September 2001. It will provide an introduction to the theory, practice and methodologies required for the evaluation of health sector interventions in situations characterized as conflict induced humanitarian emergencies. It will be taught by staff members of the School and outside experts in the fields of evaluation, health programme implementation and humanitarian assistance.
Field experience in humanitarian work is required. Applications are welcome from health professionals who want to upgrade their evaluation skills. The course will also be relevant to evaluators with non-health sectoral specialisms.
