Dear List Members,
The most recent issue of ICVA's Talk Back newsletter
was just released on Monday
(http://www.icva.ch/cgi-bin/browse.pl?doc=doc00000307).
It includes an article on the proposed liquidation of
UNHCR's Centre for Documentation and Research which
you may be interested in (see "Cutting Documentation
and Research").
Many of you are probably familiar with CDR's products
and services - the REFWORLD CD-ROM, the free
dissemination of UNHCR documents, the Background
Papers on Refugees and Asylum Seekers, the Refugee
Survey Quarterly, etc. If you normally rely on the
information provided by CDR and have an opinion about
the downgraded role of information in the provision of
protection and assistance to refugees, I'd be
interested to hear your comments.
