Dear mailbase members:
announcing a course that still has a few places available:
Cone Penetration Testing: Maximising the Potential
A two day course, Cone Penetration Testing: Maximising the Potential will be
held at BRE, 27-28 Nov 2001.
The static cone penetrometer (CPT) and the piezocone (CPTU) are the most
versatile in-situ tools available for soil exploration. However there is
still reluctance amongst practitioners to fully maximise their potential.
This two day course will give an insight into the many benefits of CPT
testing and discuss its applications in the areas of
* Site investigation
* Soil parameter determination
* Geotechnical design
* Specialised measurements: seismic, environmental, electrical
resistivity
The course is intended to be of use whether you have previous experience of
CPT testing or not.
Field demonstrations will also be held.
Cone Penetration Testing: Maximising the Potential will be held at BRE,
Watford, 27-28 November. The charge for attendance is £350 & VAT and
includes a copy of the book CPT in Geotechnical Practice.
