The ECPR Central Services will shortly set up an online database containing
information about jobs, research posts, research projects, research funding,
studentships, exchanges, new MA and PhD programmes and travel grants in
Europe. This will facilitate the search for academic jobs and progammes
within Europe. The quality of this database will depend on your
co-operation. Please email the ECPR Central Services at [log in to unmask] any
information that you would like to advertise through the ECPR website. We
would like to get this up and running as soon as possible, so please do
email us any information that falls in the above mentioned categories.

NEW APPOINTMENTS
At the recent International Social Science Council (ISSC) XXIIIrd General
Assembly, Dr. Vincent Hoffmann-Martinot (IEP de Bordeaux) was elected to the
ISSC Executive Committee as the representative of the ECPR. He will be in
office until the end of 2002.
Jan Melissen (University of Leicester) has been appointed Head of the
Department of Training, with reponsibility for research on diplomacy, at the
Netherlands Institute of International Relations 'Clingendael' in The Hague.
He will occupy that position from 1st May 2001.
