Going Digital: issues in digitisation for public libraries, is the latest
issue paper from the Networked Services PolicyTaskgroup. This paper explores
policy issues public libraries need to consider when developing digitisation
projects/services.
The paper covers
* initial planning and implementation phases of a digitisation project
* the key stages of the digitisation process
* data management strategies
* delivery services
* sustainability
This paper will be of particular use to libraries and other organisations
currently finalising their applications to the New Opportunities Fund
Digitisation call. In order that this paper is publicly available before
this call closes (1st Feb) it is being published online only.
