[Hi all, this is a long shot but ... I have been invited to speak on mattersVirilio + Speed + architecture at a conference in Taiwan in January. To cut
a long story short, I can't make it now due to research commitments.
However, I have been asked by the organizer if I know of anyone else who
might want to go and could do it. Plane/hotel etc. will be taken care of as
far as I know. The information is below. If anyone can/does want to do this
then contact me and I will fill you in. Bare outline of the programme below.

Sorry for being quiet for a while.
Urban Flashes2002 is scheduled on Jan.21-23,2002
Your lecture( which is perhaps less formal intending for more immidiate
thoughts within Asian context and Taipei) will be on the morning of 22nd.
And you are expected to sit in the sub-group discussion and final
discussions.
We are also trying to arranging a more formal public lecture( with good
honorarium ) for you next night on the 23rd.
Your travel expenses will be taking care of,including round trip airfare(
please assure your flight for econmy class)and hotel( 20-23).
the content of this meeting and discussion will be about the notion of
mobility ( or fluidy,mutation,fluctuation,etc.)and future urban conditions
and design approaches under newly developed technology within Asian
context,and about Archigram and Paul Virilio's work.
the sub-title for the symposium tentatively is " urban bunker and surface
tactics"
