Research Associate
Public consultation and nuclear submarines
6 months pt 6-10 with possible extension
A research associate is needed to work on a project investigating public
and
stakeholder views on how best to conduct consultation regarding the
storage of
nuclear submarines. This 'consultation on consultation' will include
focus
groups, a citizens' panel, stakeholder workshops and management of a
steering
group. Whilst the research associate will be involved in all of these,
their
primary task will be the conduct of the citizens panel. This panel will
be
similar to a citizens' jury, and the detailed design will be the
responsibility
of the research associate, in collaboration with Dr Hunt. The ideal
candidate
would therefore have experience in conducting public consultation,
associated
report-writing skills, and be highly motivated and well organised. The
post
will be based at Lancaster.
