Conference Theme: "E-BUSINESS IN RESTROSPECT: WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?"

Purposes/Objectives:
 To enhance knowledge, understanding, training and scholarship in
e-business/e-commerce that individuals must have to succeed in rapidly
changing global, competitive environment
  To share and stimulate research in a variety of electronic commerce
areas and topics
 To explore pedagogical/training approaches and issues
 To provide a dialogue between and among academicians, practitioners,
and
policy-makers
 To identify dynamic technological trends and their social, political
and
economic implications worldwide
 To create cross or interdisciplinary, integrated forums to benefit
individuals in different business disciplines -- marketing, finance,
accounting, computer & information systems, production & operations
management, purchasing & procurement, human resource management, R & D,
etc.

 Who should participate?
 Anybody who has the slightest interest in e-business or e-commerce -
from
novice to experts, including students, faculty, researchers, engineers,
businesses (manufacturers, distributors, facilitators, financial
institutions, venture capitalists, and so forth), investors, consumers,
nonprofit organizations, and policy-makers.

 How to participate?
 Submit an abstract / proposal  to present a paper  on any
e-business/e-commerce topics (See submission guidelines)
 Organize (in collaboration with your colleagues) panels, symposiums,
training workshops, discussion groups or special sessions  (See
submission
guidelines)
 Serve as reviewer, session chair, discussant
 Attend the Conference and be part of formal and informal discussions
 Serve as a member of the Program Committee
 Represent and/or coordinate specific region or nation possibly this
year
or in the future
 Serve possibly on the Editorial Board of the IAE-B Review, the Journal
of
E-Business,  and/or                                     the Journal of
E-Commerce, which the Academy publishes or intends to publish
  Just indicate what you are interested in, and the Academy will try to
get you actively involved..

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSIONS:
1. Submit three copies of your abstract/proposal (2 to 3 pages long) for

each paper, panel, workshop, etc. no later than SEPTEMBER 29, 2001, to
Professor Vinay Kothari, The International Academy of E-Business, P. O.
Box 631064, Nacogdoches, Texas 75963.  (Electronic submissions to
[log in to unmask] are acceptable but discouraged to avoid technical
problems.)
2. All submitted proposals will go through a "blind-review" process as
soon as possible.
3.  Once decisions (acceptance or rejection) have been made, individuals

will be notified by e-mail - and will be furnished information, such as
conference registration, hotel room reservation, and publication
guidelines.
4. Based on publication guidelines, the author(s) of each accepted
proposal will prepare his/her/their manuscript for publication in the
E-BUSINESS REVIEW,  Volume .II, a peer-reviewed/refereed publication of
the Academy.
5. The IAE-B intends to publish several outstanding papers in their
entirety in the Journal of E-Business, the Journal of E-Commerce, and/or

in a book of contemporary readings in E-Commerce in collaboration with a

well known-publishing company that has already contacted the Academy.
All
authors will be invited to submit their manuscript for publication
consideration.
6. The Academy reserves the right to alter any policies, including
submission guidelines, without any notice. Because  of time and space
limitations, the Academy may or may not allow more than two paper
presentations by the same individual (solo and/or as co-author.)
