FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT AND CALL FOR PAPERS
Women’s entrepreneurship and enterprise development is back on the
policy agenda and thus receiving increasing attention from governments,
banks, business networks, businesses and women themselves. The aim of
this conference is to bring together professionals and academics working
in the area of, or with an interest in, women’s entrepreneurship and
enterprise development. Conference papers and case studies must aim at
an audience looking to gain a better understanding, and to share
experience of current issues regarding: policy, practice and process in
this field.
CONFERENCE THEMES
- Issues surrounding the categorisation of women’s enterprise
- The growth of women-run businesses
- Sector-based strengths and concentrations
- Technology and women’s enterprise
- The diversity of women in business
WHO SHOULD COME?
Academics, policy makers, owner-managers, private, public and voluntary
organisations, and practitioners providing guidance and assistance to
women running businesses
CALL FOR PAPERS
If you are interested in presenting a paper, please submit an abstract
of up to 250 words based on one of the conference themes. Abstracts
will form the basis of initial selection and should be received by 31st
March 2001.
