* iNabling Technologies of Bangalore is offering low-cost
Internet access (e-mail) to those without PCs. The service
iConnect costs Rs 6,990 (approx $150) is a portable device
that provides 24Kbps bandwidth with a subscription fee
of Rs 100 per month for unlimited usage. iConnect also
provides transliteration between English, Hindi and the

* GLOBAL, mobile text-messaging software from India: A
few years ago, when still an engineering student at a local
college in Bangalore, Rajesh T.S.Reddy developed what
became the world's first software to send and receive
mobile text messages globally, free of charge. It does this
through an icon on the computer screen that instantly
relays the text message to the receiver on the end-user's
cellphone or pager. The company, which Reddy started as
Gray Cell Inc. in 1996, was last year rechristened Unimobile
and shifted its headquarters to California. (Source: Far

* NET IDEA for afflordable bottled water (from the Philippines):
Philippine entrepreneur Michael Lim is using an ultraviolet-
light water-purification system, which he first read about on
the Internet, as the basis of a successful franchise business
selling low-cost clean water to Manila residents. So far,
about 100,000 people a day are buying the water, which is
tested monthly, certified for safety, and goes for a third of
the price of regular bottled water.

CrashProofAuto says it is an automated do-it-yourself
data recovery software capable of recovering data from

lists all the folders and files which can be recovered onto
another disk.
